The Gospels as History

QUOTEWinerT
52 And the graves were opened; and

MANY BODIES OF THE SAINTS WHICH SLEPT AROSE,

53 And CAME OUT of the graves after his resurrection, and

WENT INTO THE HOLY CITY , and

" APPEARED UNTO MANY. "

Hello Egwpisteuw !

Produce Historical records that recorded the above stupendous event !!!
ENDQUOTE

WinnerT, your form over substance methodology is apparent to all. All you can do in the face of the proof of the historical fact that Jesus died and was crucified is to throw out straw man arguments, change the subject, whine, cry, sidestep, etc...

The four Gospels themselves are the highest form of History: Contemporary eyewitness accounts that describe with incredible intricacy and detail all the events of the death and crucifixion of Jesus. Luke especially makes it a point to say:

1Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,
2just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,
3it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus;
4so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.
Luke 1:1-4

Nothing could be more clear. Luke was writing History of the highest caliber.

Extra-Biblical references are just icing on the cake. The four Gospels record the detailed history of the death and crucixion of Jesus Christ.

and, of course, the Quran says it agrees with these records:

He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel. Surah 3:3
